Access Database Engine 2016 and MS OLE DB Driver fails to Install with HyDraw Library Manager
When installing HyDraw Library Manager, the system fails to install Access Database Engine 2016 and MS OLE DB Driver and displays the error shown below. While the exact root cause is unknown, it appears that CMD.exe may not be able to extract the prerequisite installers, possibly due to permission restrictions.
Workaround
Follow the steps below to manually install the prerequisites:
- Navigate to the following path inside the installer folder: C:\VEST\HLM-2026-1.0.0.5-R\ISSetupPrerequisites{37E93227-5D0C-4BEF-8076-824252D14E67}
(For HLM 2024, navigate to the corresponding version folder with a similar path.) - Extract the file named AccessDatabaseEngine_X64.exe.
- Run and install aceredist.msi manually.
- Do the same for MS OLE DB Driver if you have SQL database.
- After installing both prerequisites, run the HyDraw Library Manager setup again.
