How can I use a Cloud Storage system with my HyDraw Library?

Standard Microsoft Access library does not work well with cloud storage. The reason is that with cloud storage the files are replicated locally/online and this creates conflict copies of databases.

If you want to use library in cloud, you must:

1. Put all HyDraw CAD database files in a SQL server instance

2. Leave all the symbol files in a cloud storage (Dropbox, SharePoint/OneDrive, Google drive etc.)

If you need instructions for SQL library email hydrawsupport@vestusa.com. You must have a machine/server in the company that can host the SQL library and be accessible by each HyDraw CAD client. If you work from home or remotely you must have a VPN connection to the SQL server.

Using Vault is another option for storing the symbol file's location, but the database files should still be inside the SQL server.
