How does the Auto stack command work?

How does the Auto stack command work?

      The Auto Stack program:

  • Stacks direction control valves and stack modules
  • Stacks slip-in cartridge Insert, Cover and Pilot valves/modules

The program uses the following logic:

Align port P to P

All DC valves and stack modules follow this logic

Align Port P to X / X to P

Slip-in cartridge Cover and Pilot valves/modules follow this logic

If port P and X are missing in the symbol then middle align the symbol bounding boxes Slip-in cartridge Insert and Cover

It is expected that the program logic may fail in some exceptional case.

Mobile stack valves will follow the third logic and should work fine if the sections are of the same height.

Sections with varying heights may not stack properly using this command.

Some cases may require a bit of additional effort (Auto Stack + Align Symbols).

It is recommended that the user should create symbols without extended lines to work properly with Auto Stack and Align Symbols commands.
