How to control the MDTools Machining Chart Column Headers to use the Default Column Settings from Inventor Table style?

When different Column Settings are defined in Inventor Table style and MDTools Machining Chart Format, Machining Chart Inserted will follow the Column Header defined in Inventor Table Style.

To make Default Column Settings same in Inventor Table Style and MDTools Machining Chart, follow the steps mentioned below: -

  1. Go to Manage tab -> Styles and Standards -> Style Editor
  2. In Style and Standard Editor dialog box, Right click on any Default Standard and select New Style. Give the new style Name and click OK.

  3.  To activate the new style, double click on the new Style created. It gets highlighted as shown below.

  4.  On the top right of dialog box, change the filter to Active standard.

  5. In the browser, select Table -> Table (ISO) and select Default column settings tab in right pane. Click on Add Column button, uncheck the Name from Source box and enter the Property Names for different Columns.

  6. Click on Save and Close
  7. Go to MDTools Machining Chart Command select Edit Machining Chart Format.
  8. Edit the Format and define the Property Names sequence same as defined in Inventor style.

  9. Insert the Machining Chart in drawing, the column Headers in the Machining Chart are as per the Default Column Settings Names defined in Inventor Table Style and the values populate for property corresponding to the properties linked with Display Name in MDTools Machine Chart command.

 Note: If Column sequence of MDTools Machining chart is different than Default Column Settings in Inventor style, the values populating under different column headers will not be correct as shown in image below: -
