How to increase Virtual Memory for SolidWorks when it is running slow?

                1.  Go to Control Panel > System and select Advanced system settings.

          

       2. System Properties dialog pops up. Select Advanced Tab > click Settings.

          

       3. Performance Options dialog pops up, select Advanced tab and click Change....

         

     4. Virtual Memory dialog opens, uncheck Automatically manage paging file size for all drives. Select Custom size and enter initial size of the RAM and provide the maximum size which should be twice the physical RAM. 

      

Note: 

To set the maximum size value to twice the physical RAM, you will need to determine how much physical RAM is installed on your computer. You can check the installed RAM by going to Settings from Windows search and select About from left panel.
