How to resolve Feature failing errors if Precision Depth is set to a very low value?

Using low precision for Drill Depth can result in specific cavities failing upon insertionThis is due to the overall depth of the cavity (at Step 12) being rounded down to the same or lower depth than one of the previous Steps. This results in cavity not getting inserted  properly and may result in errors such as:

  • The Insert Cavity command does not properly insert the selected cavity.
  • The tip of the inserted cavity does not properly display.

This issue tends only to occur if Drill Depth precision is set to “0” with units in Inches, but could possibly also occur with Drill Depth set to “1.1”.

This issue can be avoided by using “2.12 Drill Depth Precision or higher.

Cavities inserted with this low precision and display errors may have to be deleted and reinserted.
