HyDraw CAD Fails to Open – Random "File Missing" Messages
Issue:
Users may encounter random "file missing" error messages when attempting to launch HyDraw CAD. The application fails to open properly.
Cause:
This issue typically occurs for users with standard (non-admin) accounts who do not have sufficient permissions to access the following folder: C:\ProgramData\Vest\HyDraw CAD <version>
In such cases, HyDraw CAD attempts to copy all required settings and configuration files into the user’s AppData folder and run from there. If, due to system restrictions, some files fail to copy or load correctly, the user may see varying "file missing" messages depending on which files are inaccessible.
Solution:
To resolve this issue, contact your IT team and request full read/write permission on the C:\ProgramData\Vest\HyDraw CAD <version> folder so that HyDraw CAD can load its settings directly from the ProgramData directory instead of the user's AppData folder.
