HyDraw CAD Stops Working After Windows 11 Update to Version 24H4

When updating Windows 11 to version 24H4, many users encountered issues with HyDraw CAD, particularly with the 2022 version. After the update, HyDraw CAD stopped working and displayed a fatal error message. To resolve this issue, a clean uninstallation and reinstallation of HyDraw CAD is required. Please follow the steps below for a clean uninstallation.

1. Uninstall the HyDraw CAD from appwiz.cpl/control panel.

2. Remove all HyDraw-related folders from the following location:
  1. C:\Program Files\VEST
  2. C:\Program Data\VEST
  3. C:\Users\<User Name>\AppData\Roaming\VEST
  4. C:\Program Files (x86)\Vest
  5. C:\Users\<User Name>\AppData\Local\VEST\HyDraw CAD <version>
* This will delete the license key or network server IP address. You need to re-enter the license details again. So please copy or arrange license information.

3. Click Start > type %temp% > press ENTER. The Temp folder opens. Remove all folders and files; skip any in use.

4. Open Windows Registry Editor (REGEDIT) and remove (if left) the following for HyDraw CAD 2022:
  1. REG DELETE HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{B6C4BEB7-B7AF-45B6-A6C4-D5379D93EB80} /F
  2. REG DELETE HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\1E4CD116BC773D041959FEA682B7B666 /F
  3. REG DELETE HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\HyDraw CAD 2022 /F
  4. REG DELETE HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VEST\HyDraw\R2022 /F
  5. REG DELETE HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\VEST\HyDraw\R2022 /F
  6. REG DELETE HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-2152987607-2530709455-3338216759-1001\Software\VEST\HyDraw\R2022 /F

5. Open Windows Registry Editor (REGEDIT) and remove (if left) the following for HYDraw CAD 2024:
  1. REG DELETE HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\7BEB4C6BFA7B6B546A4C5D73D939BE08 /F
  2. REG DELETE HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\6B8BD662-8358-4A07-B474-7C08034690B5 /F
  3. REG DELETE HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\B6C4BEB7-B7AF-45B6-A6C4-D5379D93EB80 /F
  4. REG DELETE HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VEST\HyDraw\R2024 /F
  5. REG DELETE HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\VEST\HyDraw\R2024 /F
  6. REG DELETE HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\HyDraw CAD 2024 /F

After successfully uninstalling the HyDraw CAD program, install the HyDraw CAD again.
