Line Type Not Reflected from HyDraw Library Manager – How to Create and Apply Missing Line Types in HyDraw CAD 2024

Issue:
Line type set in HyDraw Library Manager is not reflected in HyDraw CAD even after resetting the connection.

Description:
This issue occurs when using a drawing created with a HyDraw CAD 2022 (or older) template that does not include the Drain line type. In HyDraw CAD 2024, the Drain line type has been added, but it will not appear or function correctly in older drawings where it was not previously defined.
Even after assigning the Drain line type in the HyDraw Library Manager (HLM) and performing a Reset Connection in HyDraw CAD 2024, the line type will not be retained because the drawing itself lacks the required definition.

Resolution:
To resolve this issue, first check whether the required line type exists in the drawing. If it does not, manually create a new line type named Drain. This will ensure that the connection settings from HLM are correctly applied and maintained in HyDraw CAD 2024.

Steps to Create a New "Drain" Line Type Using "ISO Dash Space":
  1. Go to Drafting tab -> Properties group and in the Line Type drop-down list, select "Other" to open the Linetype Manager.

  2. Click Load in the Linetype Manager, then select ISO Dash Space from the list in the next window. Click OK to confirm.

  3. Select the newly added line type from the list, rename it to “DRAIN”, and click OK. Additionally, define the scale and width accordingly.

The new line type will now appear in the drop-down list and be available for use.

  4. Once added, go to HyDraw Option and reset the connection properties.
