Need to manually define planes to define single body CAD models to set Assembly Constraints
Unable to directly set constraints for single body CAD models by using MDTools the Assembly Constraints command. It displays the following message. How to fix this?
To constrain the single body:
- Define the axis,
- Manually define the plane, click Features > Reference Geometry > Plane.

- Select a point as a reference for axis, click Features > Reference Geometry > Point.
- Select a point as a reference for axis, click Features > Reference Geometry > Point.
- Next, define the Top Face and Bottom Face:
- Define the other two planes at the offset distances from the base plane,
click Features > Reference Geometry > Plane. - Then, define the constraints from MDTools commands:
- Define the other two planes at the offset distances from the base plane,
- Top Face - select Plane1.
- Bottom Face – select Plane2.
- Axis – select the point
- Click Set Constraints.
