VEST Network License Manager unable to start the Service
When
VEST Network License Manager is started, it is unable to start the service and
gives the below error message.
Troubleshooting Steps:
- Add Port 7075 in Inbound and Outbound rules in
Windows Defender Firewall > Advanced Settings.
- Check the OpenJDK Version, it should be OpenJDK JRE 21.0.6+7 and can be checked by navigating to Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features.

- Ensure that Environment Variables for Java are set up. It is under System Properties > Advanced System Settings > Advanced Tab

- If the issue persists, ensure that Port 7075 is
not used by any other application. To check that, run Command Prompt as
an administrator.
Type netstat -ano and in the list check
the PID with respect to Port 7075

Or Open Task Manager > Details and search
the PID using the Port 7075.

- Uninstall the application that is using port 7075 and then run the VEST Network License Manager. It should work fine.
The previously uninstalled application can be reinstalled later, and it will automatically use a different port. - Check the services and ensure that the server is running.

- If the issue still persists, go to C:\Program Files\VEST\VEST Network License Manager\logs and review the flexnetlsw.wrapper.log file for any errors reported in the log.
