When exporting to Excel, "Unable to cast to COM object" error appears
When exporting a created list to Excel, the following error appears:
This can be the result of a faulty interaction between Windows 10 and Office 365.
Certain users are encountering an error when attempting to add or modify a datalink, with the error message indicating, "The data link cannot be created because Excel cannot be found."
In order to fix this error, navigate to the system's apps & features and right-click Office 365. Then select "Modify".
A pop-up should appear:
Make sure that "Quick Repair" is selected and then click "Repair". Follow the prompts to finish the repair process.
Once repaired, reattempt to export the list to Excel.
Regarding the datalink - Please refer the below link from Autodesk, If issue is not resolved by repairing the MS office.
